A quick-thinking RCMP officer saved a man’s life over the weekend after he was found unconscious in the middle of W Keith Road in North Vancouver.

Officers on patrol were flagged down and immediately recognized the situation as a suspected overdose. One officer administered Narcan, successfully reviving the man.

The incident was part of a busy weekend for North Vancouver RCMP, who responded to a range of calls, including weapons-related incidents, break-ins, fights, domestic disturbances, missing persons reports, and mental health crises.

Police say the overdose call serves as a reminder of the critical and often life-saving role officers play in the community.
