As many as 10 local non-profits in North Vancouver have received funding from the provincial government’s Community Gaming Grants.
Here are the details:
North Shore Lifeboat Society will receive $78,000
North Shore Mountain Bike Association will receive $25,000.
North Shore Restorative Justice Society will receive $83,500.
WBT Wild Bird Trust of British Columbia will receive $50,000
Young Naturalists’ Club of British Columbia Society will receive $29,000
Burrowing Owl Conservation Society of BC will receive $35,000
Vancouver Avian Research Centre Society will receive $13,500.
SCBC Stewardship Centre for BC Society will receive $15,000
A Voice4paws Canine Rescue Society will receive $17,900
North Shore Black Bear Society will receive $26,000.
“Our government is committed to supporting local organizations involved in a wide variety of activities that contribute to building vibrant, healthy communities,” said Josie Osborne, Minister of Municipal Affairs.
“This funding ensures community organizations can continue to provide programming to enhance public safety through emergency programs like search and rescue, and to steward and preserve our ecosystems for generations to come.”
