COVID-19 alert after positive cases at West Van facilities



District of West Vancouver has issued an alert about two people testing positive for COVID-19

On Tuesday, November 16, a person who was at the West Vancouver Community Centre at 2121 Marine Drive on Tuesday, November 9, tested positive for COVID.

Another person who attended the West Vancouver Ice Arena at 786 22nd Street on Wednesday, November 10, also  tested positive for COVID-19.

District of West Vancouver has also issued a notification for Gleneagles Community Centre.

Vancouver Coastal Health has informed the district a person attended the centre on November 8 has tested positive for COVID-19.

Vancouver Coastal Health will be following up with anyone who has been a close contact of these individuals.

The district has health protocols in place that include sanitizing program spaces at District facilities regularly throughout the day.

    Can you please stop talking about COVID that really only seriously affects the very elderly or the very ill? The rest of us are tired of the doom and gloom and the never ending despair.

    More vaccinated people testing positive for covid. The unvaccinated can’t enter those locations.
