North Shore voters who cannot make it to the polls on Saturday, Oct. 17, have several chances to vote early in the 2026 local elections. The dates and hours differ among the City of North Vancouver, District of North Vancouver and West Vancouver.
City of North Vancouver
All five advance voting opportunities are at City Hall, 141 West 14th Street:
- Wednesday, Oct. 7: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 10: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Tuesday, Oct. 13: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Wednesday, Oct. 14: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Thursday, Oct. 15: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The City says curbside voting will be available on 13th Street in front of City Hall during advance voting. Eligible City voters can also apply for a mail ballot until 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 1. Completed mail ballot packages must reach the chief election officer by 8 p.m. on Oct. 17.
District of North Vancouver
The District’s advance polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7; Saturday, Oct. 10; and Monday, Oct. 12. Voting is at Municipal Hall on all three days. Parkgate Community Centre is an additional location on Oct. 10 and 12. Voters should check the District’s voting dates and locations page before heading out.
West Vancouver
West Vancouver’s three advance polls are at Municipal Hall, 750 17th Street, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7; Saturday, Oct. 10; and Monday, Oct. 12. The District also lists mail and curbside voting options.
General voting day is Saturday, Oct. 17. Each municipality administers its own election, so voters should consult the election information for the municipality where they are eligible to vote. The City, District of North Vancouver and West Vancouver websites provide further voter information.
